If you cannot get into the panel, the reason is written in the message on the screen, and what to do depends on which message you see. Follow the steps under the heading that matches your case. The full sign-up and sign-in steps are in the signing up and signing in guide.
You may have run into one of these:
It says "Incorrect email or password"
It says "Your email isn't verified yet"
Your account is locked
You cannot enter the two-step verification code
You cannot reset your password
It says "Incorrect email or password"
This message means one of two things: you mistyped the address, or the password does not match. The panel deliberately does not say which — so that someone trying other people's addresses cannot learn whether an account exists.
Check the address in the Email field character by character. A stray space at the start or end is common.
Type your password into a notes app and paste it in; keyboard language or caps lock may be changing what you type.
If you have several addresses, recall which one you signed up with. The account belongs to whichever inbox received the sign-up email.
If it still fails, set a new password from the Forgot your password? link.
⚠️ Note: If you signed up with Facebook or Google, your account has no password. Nothing you type in the password field will work. Use the social sign-in button, or set a password with the steps in the last section of this article.
It says "Your email isn't verified yet"
After signing up, a verification link is sent to your address and sign-in stays closed until you click it.
Open your mailbox and look for the subject line rather than the sender name.
Check your spam and promotions folders.
If you cannot find it, go back to the sign-up step; the Resend the link button on the Verify your email screen sends a fresh link.
If you mistyped the address, sign up again with the correct one; a link sent to the wrong address will never reach you.
Your account is locked
A run of failed passwords or failed verification codes locks the account temporarily. The message on screen tells you until what time the lock lasts.
While it is locked, none of this happens:
You cannot sign in, even with the correct password.
No password reset link is sent.
No email verification link is sent.
No two-step verification code is sent by email or SMS.
The only thing to do is wait. When the time passes, sign-in reopens without any action from you. If you truly cannot wait, write to the support address shown in the message; only the platform side can lift a lock.
💡 To avoid the lock, stop after the third failed attempt and use Forgot your password? instead. Guessing further is what locks you out.
You cannot enter the two-step verification code
If your password is accepted and the Two-step verification screen appears but you cannot enter the code, the Try another way link on that screen is what you need. Try in order:
Authenticator app — the code refreshes every 30 seconds. If it expires while you are typing, wait for the next one. If your phone's clock is set by hand, switch it to automatic; a drifted clock invalidates the code.
Code by email — press Email me a code and enter the code you receive.
Code by SMS — shown only if you have a verified number.
Backup code — enter one of the codes you saved during setup. Each code works once; cross off the one you used.
If you can reach none of them, the support address appears at the bottom of the screen. Two-step verification cannot be turned off without verifying your identity — that rule is exactly what protects your account.
If you are trying a passkey and get "No passkey is registered on this device", you added the key on another device. Sign in with your password and add a key to this device too, from My user settings › Security › Passkeys.
You cannot reset your password
Press Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen.
Type your account address in Email and press Send link.
The screen says "If an account exists for this address, a reset link has been sent." That sentence does not confirm your account exists; if no mail arrives, the address may not be registered.
Click the link you receive, type a password of at least 10 characters twice on the Set a new password screen, and press Save password.
If clicking the link shows "The link has expired or is invalid", the link is stale or a newer one was requested. Always use the link in the most recent email; older ones stop working. Request a new link and click it right away.
If you signed up with Facebook or Google, this flow works for you too: the reset link lets you set a password, and from then on you can use either social sign-in or your password.
Other messages you may see
If the message you got matches none of the above, here is what it means:
"Too many attempts. Please try again shortly." — a short rate limit, not a lock. Wait a few minutes and try again.
"Verification timed out; please sign in again." — you waited too long on the two-step verification screen. Go back to sign-in, enter your password again and the clock restarts.
"This account has been suspended." — your account has been closed. Only the support team can tell you why.
"This sign-in method is not available right now." — Facebook or Google sign-in is temporarily off. Sign in with your password; if you have none, set one through the reset link.
"Signing in with a passkey is currently off." — the passkey route has been switched off. Sign in with your password and two-step verification.
"For your security, sign out, sign in again and try once more." — a sensitive action was refused because your session is old. Sign out and back in.
"Signups are closed." — new registrations are off. If you have an invitation, join through its link.
If you see no message at all, only a blank screen, clear your browser cookies and reload, then try a private window. Some corporate networks and browser extensions block sign-in requests.
If you have followed every step and the problem continues, contact our support team.
