If you check the inbox dozens of times a day, opening a browser and typing an address every time is wasted effort. {{brand.name}} can be added to your home screen, after which it opens with one tap, with no address bar, just like an app. This guide shows the steps for three kinds of device.
💡 There is nothing to download from an app store. The panel installs through the browser's own "add to home screen" feature, and updates arrive on their own.
What you gain by installing
It sits on your home screen with its own icon instead of getting lost among browser tabs.
It opens full screen without the address bar and browser buttons, so you see more rows.
When your connection drops you get a No connection screen with a Try again button instead of a blank error page.
Your session stays open; you do not sign in again every time.
Installing is not required. You can keep using the panel in a browser and nothing is switched off.
Installing from the panel's own card
When you open the panel in a phone browser, an Install the app card appears at the bottom of the screen. The card shows only on a phone and only while the panel is not already running as an app.
Tap the Install button on the card.
Accept the installation in the browser's confirmation window.
Return to your home screen; the icon will be there.
If you do not want to install right now, tap Close on the card. The card stays hidden on that device for 30 days; during that time you can use the manual steps below whenever you like.
⚠️ Note: On iPhone the card does not open a confirmation window; Safari's install flow has to be started from the browser itself. The card tells you the route and you follow the steps. The iPhone section below covers exactly that.
On Android phones
Open the panel in Chrome and sign in.
Tap Install on the Install the app card at the bottom of the screen.
If the card is not there, open the three-dot menu at the top right and tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
Confirm the app name in the window that opens and tap Install.
The icon is added to your home screen and app drawer. To remove the app, press and hold the icon and choose Uninstall; nothing happens to your account.
Steps are the same in Chromium-based browsers such as Samsung Internet, Edge and Opera; the menu item may be named slightly differently.
On iPhone and iPad
On iOS, installation is done only through Safari. If you use Chrome or another browser, open the page in Safari first.
Open the panel in Safari and sign in.
Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the screen (at the top on iPad) — the square with an arrow pointing up.
Scroll the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add at the top right.
The icon appears on your home screen. From then on, always open the panel from that icon: opening it from a Safari tab gives you the browser view instead.
⚠️ Note: Adding to the home screen does not work from a private tab on iOS. Make sure you are in a normal tab.
On desktop
There is no install card on desktop, but installing is still possible.
Chrome and Edge: click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or use Install in the browser menu.
Safari (macOS): choose File › Add to Dock.
Once installed, the panel opens in its own window with no tabs. Keyboard shortcuts work exactly as before: ⌘K or Ctrl+K opens search.
After installing
Opening it from the app icon hides the address bar. That is expected.
When the panel is updated you do not reinstall anything; the next launch has the new version.
If your session expires, the app takes you to the sign-in screen and returns you to where you were afterwards.
Notifications from the bell appear inside the app. They do not arrive as phone notifications.
Installing on several devices
The panel does not limit how many devices it runs on. Install it on your phone, your tablet and your computer, and use the same account on all three. Each device keeps its own session; signing out of one does not close the others.
With two-step verification on, each new device asks for a code once. On your own device, tick Remember this device for 30 days. On a shared computer, neither tick that box nor install the app; use the browser and sign out when you are done.
Your teammates can install it on their own phones too. Each signs in with their own user account; installing the app grants nobody any extra permission — it is only a shortcut.
Common situations
The install card never appears. Three possible reasons: you are already running the panel as an app, you dismissed the card earlier (hidden for 30 days), or you are on a desktop. Use the manual steps.
I can't find "Add to Home Screen" on iPhone. Scroll the Share list all the way down; the option usually sits in the lower rows. Make sure you are in Safari and not in a private tab.
Tapping the icon opens the browser. The icon must be an installed app, not a plain bookmark shortcut. Remove it and run the install steps again.
The app says "No connection". Your internet connection has dropped. Tap Try again once it is back. The panel cannot send messages while offline; incoming messages are not held on your device, but they will be in the list once you reconnect.
If I remove the app, do I lose my data? No. Removing the icon deletes only the shortcut; your account, contacts and automations stay on the server.
