The Connect account screen

In {{brand.name}} an account is born with a connection: the moment you connect an Instagram account or a WhatsApp number, an inbox, an automation area and a settings section open for it inside your portfolio. All of that starts on the Connect account screen. This guide walks through every box, every button and every warning you may run into there.

⚠️ Only the portfolio's owner and admins can connect accounts here. Editors, agents and viewers can open the screen but won't see the path cards; instead it says "Only the portfolio owner or an admin can connect accounts to this portfolio".

How to reach the screen

1. Open the account switcher at the top left.
2. Select the portfolio you want to connect an account to.
3. Click Connect account.

If the portfolio has no accounts yet, this screen is already the portfolio's home screen; you don't have to do anything else. If you arrived from the setup wizard, you land here directly too.

💡 If you just signed up and this is your first connection, no extra identity check is asked. On later connections the panel may ask for a passkey or a two-step verification code, if security settings are configured that way.

The page header and the account allowance badge

At the top of the page sits the Connect account title with the line "Connect a new account to this portfolio. Each connection becomes its own account." That sentence matters: two Instagram accounts are not merged into one account — each becomes its own.

To the right of the title is a badge showing your account allowance:

• Accounts 2/5 — your plan allows five accounts and two are in use.
• Accounts 2 · unlimited — your plan has no account limit.

The badge is shown only to roles that can connect accounts (owner and admin). How many accounts a portfolio holds is commercial information and is not shown to members with limited access.

The connection path cards

The body of the screen is made of cards. Each card is one connection path: a title, a short description and a button. They appear in the order below, and which ones appear depends on your plan and on the platform's readiness.
