Scheduling the deletion of your user account. What is removed, how your team is notified, the grace period and how to cancel.

Deleting your user account is the widest-reaching thing you can do in the panel: it closes not just your sign-in but every portfolio you own and everything inside them. That is why deletion isn't immediate but scheduled: a grace period passes and you can change your mind until the day arrives. This guide covers the screen, what is removed, what survives, and how to cancel.
⚠️ This screen belongs to your user account; it needs no permission and opens even if you have no portfolio. While our support team is viewing the panel as you, neither deleting nor cancelling is possible.
The screen's description sums up the mechanics: "Your user account will be permanently deleted after n days; you can cancel until then."
The number of days comes from a platform setting and is printed on the screen.
This is wider than deleting a portfolio. Deleting a portfolio removes one box; deleting your user account removes you and every box you own.
If you have no portfolio, the delete link on the setup screen leads here too.
The screen lists what will go. Which items you see depends on your situation.
Your user account. "Your user account, your sessions and your personal preferences are deleted." So your sign-in, your open sessions, your two-step verification setup, your passkeys, your interface language and your theme all go.
Portfolios you own. The screen names them one by one: "These portfolios you own will also be deleted with all their accounts and data: …" The contacts, conversations, automations, media and saved replies inside each portfolio are part of that deletion.
Your plan. "Your plan closes: renewal stops once deletion is scheduled, and your pending orders are cancelled." Both of those happen immediately — they don't wait for the deletion day. So from the moment you schedule it, no further payment is taken.
If other people are in portfolios you own, the screen shows a separate warning: "Portfolios with a team: …" listing how many people are in each.
The warning continues with what happens: "Team members are notified by e-mail once deletion is scheduled; when deletion happens their access to these portfolios ends."
That is a two-stage behaviour, and it is deliberate:
If you work with a team, it is worth talking to them before you delete; the grace period gives you time for that conversation. If you want to hand the work over, there is no route for handing over a portfolio: portfolio ownership cannot be transferred. The right path is for that person to create their own portfolio and for you to move the accounts there; see Moving an account to another portfolio.
If portfolios you own hold accounts with live connections, the screen lists them and each row leads to that account's Connection screen, where you disconnect it.
The screen also lists connections that will be cut automatically during deletion: "These accounts will also be disconnected: …"
This step follows the same rule as deleting a portfolio: an Instagram or WhatsApp bond rests on a permission on Meta's side, and the panel will not destroy an account without cutting that bond properly.
The screen also says what stays: "Paid orders are kept as a legal record."
That is not an omission but an obligation: the record of a paid order is retained for a period required by financial regulation. Your agreement acceptance records are likewise kept as a legal record.
For your detailed rights regarding the deletion of your personal data, see the privacy policy.
The screen has a field called Your reason for deleting. Its note says: "Optional; it helps us improve our service."
It isn't required and leaving it blank doesn't delay anything. But if you are leaving because of a gap, writing it down helps.
First layer — typing your e-mail. The screen asks you to type your e-mail address exactly, and shows the required text under the field.
Second layer — identity verification. If portfolios you own will be deleted, or if your user account has a security method enabled, a second verification is asked:
If your portfolios will be deleted and no security method is enabled, the screen won't allow the deletion: "Because your portfolios will be deleted along with your user account, turn on two-step verification or add a passkey first." A Go to security settings button sits next to it.
Press the button and the panel asks one last time: "Delete your user account after n days?" Confirm and a "Deletion of your user account has been scheduled." notice appears.
⚠️ Some user accounts cannot be deleted from the panel. In that case the screen says "This user account cannot be deleted from the panel." If you want it deleted, contact our support team.
Once deletion is scheduled the screen changes and shows two things:
You can keep signing in and working during the grace period; your account works until the day arrives. But your plan has closed: renewal has stopped and pending orders were cancelled.
Press Cancel deletion and a "Your user account will not be deleted." notice appears. Cancelling saves your account but does not bring your plan back: you have to buy a plan again and re-establish the connections you cut.
The panel has three kinds of deletion with different reach:
If you only want to stop paying, don't delete your user account; cancelling the plan is enough and your data stays. See Plan and invoices.
The grace period is an opportunity; use it:
Deleting the user account to stop payment. Cancelling the plan is enough and your data stays.
Assuming the plan comes back when you cancel. It doesn't; you have to buy again.
Assuming your team won't be notified. An e-mail goes out the moment you schedule it.
Trying to transfer portfolios. Portfolio ownership cannot be transferred; you have to move the accounts into the new owner's portfolio.
Ignoring accounts with live connections. The screen states the barrier plainly.
Forgetting to download data during the grace period. Once the day arrives there is no way back.
To only stop paying see Plan and invoices, to remove a single portfolio see Deleting a portfolio, to remove a single account see Deleting an account, and to keep accounts see Moving an account to another portfolio.
