With three Instagram accounts and a WhatsApp number, working out which connection dropped by visiting each one is tiring. Portfolio settings › Accounts shows every account in the portfolio in one list: each row carries the account's name, channel type, connection health and the actions available on it. This guide covers every part of the screen.
⚠️ The portfolio owner and its admins can open this screen. Editors, agents and viewers cannot see the Portfolio settings area. Some actions on the screen (move, delete) are owner-only.
The screen answers three questions:
It is also the shortest route to switching between accounts, repairing a dropped connection, and moving or deleting an account.
To the right of the page title sits a badge showing your plan's account allowance:
The limit is per portfolio. With three portfolios you can connect five accounts in each (if your plan says five). The limit comes from the plan, and the plan is carried by the portfolio owner's user account.
Next to the badge sits the Connect account button. It appears only for those with connect permission (owner and admin) and only when the portfolio isn't locked. It takes you to the Connect account screen.
Each row holds, from left to right:
Avatar and name. The account's Instagram profile photo or WhatsApp name. The name is the connected account's own; the panel has no separate account name. A record whose connection was never established reads "Unnamed account".
Channel type. Instagram or WhatsApp. On an account with no connection this label stays blank.
The "This account" marker. It sits on the row of the account you opened most recently, so you can see where you are working without leaving the list.
Health badge. One of three states:
On an account whose connection was never established, no badge is drawn.
To the right of a row, several buttons appear depending on your role and the account's state:
Switch. Takes you into that account; the rest of the panel (inbox, automations) now shows it. Faster than opening the account switcher and hunting.
Reconnect. Appears only on rows whose health badge reads Needs reconnecting, and only if you have connect permission. It goes straight to that account's Connection screen. For the repair steps see the Connection dropped guide.
Settings. Goes to that account's settings (to the entrance, which opens the first screen your role can see).
Move. Owner only. Opens the screen for moving the account into another portfolio you own. See Moving an account to another portfolio.
Delete. Owner only, and only when the portfolio isn't locked. Opens the screen for deleting the account with all its data. See Deleting an account.
If the portfolio has no accounts, the list is replaced with "This portfolio has no accounts yet." Use the Connect account button in the header to connect your first one.
With many accounts the list paginates; move through it with the Previous / Next buttons underneath. Your current page number is shown between them.
The Facebook route lets you connect several Instagram accounts at once. When you return to this screen after doing so, a green notice appears: "3 accounts connected." That confirms each account you picked was opened as its own account. For details see Picking several Instagram accounts.
This is the only settings screen that stays open in a locked portfolio. Every other portfolio setting and every account setting closes.
An amber notice appears at the top, with one of two texts depending on your role:
While locked, only the Move button remains on the rows; Switch, Settings, Reconnect and Delete are not drawn. The Connect account button disappears too. The reason is plain: the only meaningful job in a locked portfolio is getting the accounts you want to keep out of it.
Taking the account limit as per user. The limit is per portfolio. On a five-account plan you can connect ten accounts across two portfolios.
Ignoring the "Renewal due soon" badge. The connection still works, but messages stop when the window closes. Renew the permissions when you see the badge.
Trying to fix a dropped connection by deleting and reconnecting the account. Reconnecting keeps the data; deleting destroys it. Try Reconnect first.
Looking for the "Delete" button in a locked portfolio. Deletion is closed while locked; the rescue route is moving.
Mistaking this list for a list of all portfolios. The screen shows only the open portfolio's accounts. For all of them see My portfolios.
To connect a new account see the Connect account screen, for a dropped connection see Connection dropped, and for a summary of all your portfolios see My portfolios.
